Purpose

Used to propose deletion of a category. See how to use this page for overall instructions. The template displays the proper links and {{cfd2}} syntax for the next step.

Usage

{{subst:cfd}}

Used for single nominations.

{{subst:cfd|Cfd section name}}

Used for group nominations.
Note that if the CfD section name includes the category prefix, it must specified:

{{subst:cfd|Category:Bishops}} should be used if the CfD section title is "Category:Bishops"
{{subst:cfd|Bishops and archbishops categories}} should be used if the CfD section title is "Bishops and archbishops categories"

Example

{{subst:cfd|umbrella}} displays:

This category is being considered for deletion in accordance with Wikipedia's Wikipedia:Categories for Discussion policies. This nomination is part of a discussion of several related categories. This does not mean that any of the articles in the category will be deleted. They may, however, be recategorized.
Please share your thoughts on the matter at this category's entry on the Categories for discussion page. Please do not empty the category or remove this notice while the discussion is in progress.

{{cfd|umbrella}} gives This template must be substituted. Replace {{cfd}} with {{subst:cfd}}.
